Role Overview
We’re hiring a Shopify Landing Page Designer to design, build, and iterate high-converting landing pages for multiple brands. You’ll collaborate with our ads team, translate briefs into on-brand pages, and run continuous A/B tests to improve conversion rate. We’ll start part-time, with the potential to move to full-time based on quality, speed, and impact.
What You’ll Do
• Design and build up to 10 Shopify landing pages per month (mix of net new and iterations).
• Translate Figma/wireframes/briefs into production-ready pages (Replo/PageFly/Shogun or native theme sections/Liquid).
• Implement CRO best practices (clarity, hierarchy, proof, risk reversal, objection handling).
• Set up A/B tests, launch variants, and iterate based on data (GA4, heatmaps, post-purchase surveys).
• Ensure pages are fast, responsive, accessible, and on-brand.
• Add tracking: GA4, Google Ads, Meta Pixel, GTM events (clicks, form submits, CTA views).
• Maintain clean, modular theme sections and documentation for reuse.
• Communicate proactively in Slack/Asana; hit agreed deadlines without hand-holding.
Must-Have Experience
• Shopify theme customization (Online Store 2.0), Liquid, HTML/CSS, and light JS.
• Page builders such as Replo, PageFly, or Shogun (plus custom sections when page builders aren’t ideal).
• Ecommerce CRO: you know what typically moves CVR for PDPs, quiz/quiz-like pages, advertorials, collection landers, and bundle/offer pages.
• A/B testing workflow and analysis; comfort reading GA4 reports and heatmap tools (Hotjar/Clarity).
• Strong English and crisp, proactive communication.
• Proven ability to move fast while maintaining quality.
Nice to Haves
• Figma design skills and copy refinement.
• Image optimization (WebP, lazy loading) and performance tuning (Lighthouse).
• Experience with quizzes/flows, UGC sections, and advertorial templates.
• Familiarity with Northbeam, Triple Whale, or server-side tagging.
What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days)
• 48–72 hr turnaround from approved wireframe ? live page (typical scope).
• Consistent +10–30% CVR lift on priority pages through structured testing.
• Reusable section library and build standards that speed future launches.
• Zero tracking gaps; events validated in GA4 and ad platforms.
Logistics
• Type: Part-time contractor initially; potential full-time.
• Location: Remote. Availability: At least 3–4 hours overlap with US Central Time.
• Comp: Competitive; please include your hourly and per-page rates (page builder vs. custom section).
How to Apply (no long cover letter needed)
1. Portfolio: 3–5 Shopify landing pages you designed/built (before/after or test results if available).
2. Loom (3–5 min): Walk through one page you’re proud of: goals, constraints, what you tested, and the impact.
3. Code Samples: A Liquid section or snippet you created (pastebin/Gist ok).
4. Speed Check: Your typical timeline to build:
• A Replo/PageFly lander with custom sections
• A custom Liquid section lander from a Figma file
5. Rates & Availability: Hourly and per-page rates, weekly bandwidth (max pages/month).
6. CRO Win: Briefly describe your favorite CRO win and why it worked.
Bonus quick task (optional but helps you stand out):
Send a 4–6 block wireframe for a “cold traffic offer page” for a DTC product (headline, proof, offer stack, FAQs, risk reversal). A simple sketch or Figma link is fine.
