JOB OVERVIEW

Tomorrow Studios is a Shopify design and implementation studio based in British Columbia, Canada. We help merchants move to Shopify, clean up their product data, configure apps and systems, and launch stores that are easy to manage. Our projects include migrations from BigCommerce, WooCommerce, and Lightspeed; Shopify store setup; Shopify POS and B2B configuration; app configuration; catalogue cleanup; QA; and ongoing client support.

We're a small, fast-moving team. We care a lot about clear communication, attention to detail, and reliability. We're looking for someone dependable who can take ownership of implementation tasks from start to finish and grow with us long-term.

About the role

This is not mainly a theme/coding role. The main focus is Shopify implementation: data migration, store configuration, app setup, QA, and day-to-day support. You'll organize product, customer, and order data; configure Shopify settings and apps; test store functionality; document your work; and help with client launches.

You should be comfortable with spreadsheets, Shopify admin, migration tools, and checklists. You don't need to be a senior developer, but you should be organized, detail-oriented, and able to solve problems on your own.

Your responsibilities

Prepare, clean, and organize ecommerce data for Shopify migrations
Use tools such as Matrixify to import and export products, customers, orders, redirects, and metafields
Support migrations from BigCommerce, WooCommerce, Lightspeed, and CSV files
Configure Shopify settings: products, collections, markets, shipping, taxes, payments, locations, staff permissions, and sales channels
Set up and configure Shopify apps based on project needs
Work with metafields, metaobjects, tags, product options, and redirects
Support Shopify POS and B2B configuration when needed
Do QA before and after launch (product, checkout, app, redirect, mobile, and content checks)
Document your completed work, open issues, and client instructions
Communicate clearly with the team and, when needed, with clients
Flag technical issues that need custom development

Nice to have (not required)

Basic Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Familiarity with the Shopify theme editor and Online Store 2.0
Experience with Shopify Plus, POS, or B2B
Experience with BigCommerce or WooCommerce
Experience with ERP, accounting, inventory, reviews, subscriptions, loyalty, or email marketing apps
SEO migration basics (redirects and metadata)
Experience working with an agency or multiple clients

Who we're looking for

Very strong attention to detail
Comfortable with spreadsheets and structured data
Clear written English
Reliable follow-through and clear documentation
Comfortable asking questions when something is unclear
Able to work independently after getting direction
Willing to learn new Shopify apps and workflows

Details: Full-time, long-term, work from home. Approximately 30–40 hours/week with meaningful daily overlap with Pacific Time (we'll confirm hours together).

Before you apply (please read carefully):

We read every application, and we want people who actually read the whole job post. To show us you did:

Begin your application by telling us your favorite animal. Applications that don't start with an animal will be skipped.
In 2–3 sentences, explain how you would migrate a product catalogue from BigCommerce to Shopify — including which tool you'd use to import the data and one thing you'd check before the store goes live.

We look forward to your answer.
