Shopify Developer

We have an immediate need for an experienced Shopify Developer to join our growing team of developers and help with our increasing volume of Shopify work. Work varies between ongoing support, iterative site improvements, Shopify App recommendations, template development and more complex migration projects from other CMS platforms to Shopify Plus.

Position Type: Full Time (35 - 40 hours per week)

Must-Have Development Skills

- 2+ years of experience with Shopify and web development
- Expertise in HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript
- Expertise in JavaScript libraries (eg: jQuery)
- Strong Shopify template, debugging and front-end skills
- Extending Shopify’s functionalities to next level using storefront APIs, liquid programming, meta fields, etc
- Can write clean theme code and can add/debug JS
- Build responsive websites from PSD’s & Sketch Files
- Confident in implementing changes to existing Shopify websites
- A thorough understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues
- Capable of providing guidance/advice and estimates for different approaches and solutions
- Page speed optimisation of Shopify sites
- Have hands-on experience with Shopify Plus
- Implementing SEO/CRO best practices in Shopify sites
- Comfortable using beanstalk to manage and push code
- Ability to evaluate code to ensure that it is valid, is properly structured, meets industry standards, and is compatible with browsers, devices, or operating systems
- Ability to thoroughly QA work prior to submission
