Shopify Designer and developer

Overview:
We are a compounding pharmacy specializing in supplements, bio-identical hormones, and integrative health solutions. We are transitioning our online presence to Shopify to enhance user experience, expand our reach, and incorporate modern e-commerce functionalities. We are seeking a skilled Shopify expert to redesign our website, focusing on professional aesthetics, usability, and advanced features to support supplement sales and health consultations.

As our Shopify Designer/Developer, you will transform our existing website into a visually appealing, user-friendly platform that meets current e-commerce standards. This includes creating a clean, professional layout while integrating essential functionalities such as consultation booking, subscription options, and secure payment processing. The project will improve site performance, mobile responsiveness, and customer engagement to drive sales.

Responsibilities:
- Audit the current website to identify design and functionality gaps.
- Design and implement a modern, intuitive user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) using Shopify themes, Liquid templates, and custom CSS/HTML/JavaScript.
- Enhance visual elements, including high-quality imagery, typography, color schemes, and layout to convey a trustworthy, health-focused brand.
- Integrate modern functionalities, such as:
- Appointment booking systems (e.g., via apps like Sesami or Easy Appointment Booking) for virtual consultations.
- Subscription models for recurring supplement orders.
- Advanced product filtering, search, and recommendation features.
- Secure payment gateways, customer accounts, and loyalty programs.
- SEO optimization, including meta tags, alt text, and site speed enhancements.
- Mobile-first responsive design for all devices.
- Collaborate with our team to incorporate product pages, educational content, and health resources.
- Test the site for functionality, cross-browser compatibility, and performance, providing post-launch support for adjustments.

Requirements:
- Proven experience in Shopify design and development, with a strong portfolio of e-commerce sites (health, wellness, or retail preferred).
- Proficiency in Shopify’s ecosystem, including themes, apps, and APIs.
- Strong skills in UI/UX design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD) and front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript).
- Experience with Shopify apps for consultations, subscriptions (e.g., Recharge), and analytics.
- Knowledge of e-commerce trends, including fast-loading pages, personalized shopping experiences, and conversion optimization.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work remotely on a defined timeline
