Sewing Machine Operator

Job Summary
The Sewing Machine Operator is responsible for sewing, finishing, and assembling various fabric products, including flags, banners, and other textile-based items. You will work with industrial sewing machines to meet production deadlines while maintaining the highest quality standards. Job Responsibilities

Production & Sewing Operations
• Operate industrial sewing machines to sew fabric pieces together according to production specifications.
• Sew and assemble a variety of products, such as flags, banners, tablecloths, and custom fabric items.
• Ensure precise stitching, neat finishing, and high-quality craftsmanship in all fabric products.
• Read and interpret production orders, blueprints, or sample patterns to determine stitching specifications and materials.
• Measure and cut fabric to required dimensions, ensuring accuracy and quality.
• Select and use appropriate thread, needles, and other sewing materials based on fabric type and project requirements.
• Inspect finished products for defects, ensuring seams are secure and products are ready for shipment.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of sewing machines to prevent downtime and ensure smooth operation.
• Collaborate with the production team to meet daily output and delivery goals.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and efficient production environment.
Reporting & Compliance
• Report any issues with materials, equipment, or production processes to supervisors promptly.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, and production deadlines.

Key Qualifications

Education and Experience
• Proven experience as a Sewing Machine Operator, preferably in a production environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent (additional training or certification in textile or garment production is a plus).
• Prior experience in a similar role is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of sewing machine maintenance and troubleshooting is a plus.
Technical Skills
• Ability to operate industrial sewing machines, including flatbed, overlock, and other machines used for fabric finishing.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, patterns, and technical instructions.
• Comfortable working with various fabric types, including polyester, nylon, cotton, and vinyl.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Familiarity with MS Office or relevant computer software for the role.
