JOB OVERVIEW

We are a content marketing agency based in Sydney, Australia, looking for a senior video editor to join our team! We create a range of content including high-end podcast interviews, educational videos, corporate content, and YouTube-style videos.

Requirements:
- At least 5 years experience as a video editor and/or animator
- Experience working in an agency environment, or working with clients in Australia, USA or UK
- Ability to manage Junior Editors to complete projects within the deadline, provide feedback and action changes yourself when needed
- Strong communication skills
- Fluent in English with tertiary level education or equivalent
- Confidence in communicating with clients via email, project management tools like ClickUp or Asana, and Slack - including taking their feedback
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Ability to understand the subject matter of the recorded content and formulate the best way to present it through editing (particularly with podcasts that span a range of topics)
- Have good judgment when it comes to selecting different takes for scripted content
- Experience with assembling talking-head footage and b-roll, colour grading, chroma-keying, sound design, lower thirds and titles
- Attention to detail with sound design including removing background noises, applying an EQ, smoothly transitioning cuts together and adjusting levels for voice and background music
- Tasteful selection of stock music and stock footage
- Attention to detail when adding subtitles to videos - most of our videos use Australian English spelling
- Experience with editing footage using a proxy workflow
- Ability to follow style guides and instructions (video and written SOPs)
- Deadline-driven
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong ability to manage own workflow and prioritise tasks
- Problem-solving skills and initiative
- Ability to “manage up” and work closely with Directors and Managers

Working hours are 10am - 6:30pm (with 30 min lunch break), Monday to Saturday, Australian Eastern Standard Time.

Applicants MUST have access to the Adobe Creative Cloud suite, with advanced proficiency in Premiere Pro, and at least basic proficiency with Photoshop and Illustrator

Applicants must have the following computer specs, or the option to upgrade to the equivalent specs:
- Intel 7th Gen or newer CPU – or AMD Ryzen 3000 Series or newer CPU
- Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit) version 1809 or later
- At least 32GB of RAM, but more is ideal
- At least 6GB of VRAM, but 8GB is ideal
- Nvidia GeForce or Quadro Graphic cards are recommended (Equivalent to Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 or better)
- Fast internal SSD with at least 1TB of storage
- Good quality monitor & headphones
- Good internet speed: Minimum of 30 mbps average
