Cooper is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with a background in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Construction Management to oversee U.S.-based commercial, federal, and institutional construction projects. The ideal candidate has extensive experience managing project teams, coordinating design and construction activities, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage multiple construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and regulatory agencies.
Review drawings, specifications, contracts, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
Monitor project progress and proactively resolve technical and construction issues.
Manage project documentation and reporting requirements.
Conduct project meetings and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with U.S. building codes, safety standards, and contract requirements.
Mentor project engineers, coordinators, and junior project managers.
Support procurement, cost control, and risk management activities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Minimum 5+ years of Project Management experience on U.S. construction projects.
Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and project delivery methods.
Experience managing commercial, institutional, federal, healthcare, education, or government projects.
Proficient in Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and similar project management tools.
Excellent communication, leadership, and client management skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Licensed Architect, Professional Engineer (PE), PMP, CCM, or equivalent certification.
Experience with U.S. federal projects (USACE, NAVFAC, GSA, VA, etc.).
Knowledge of Davis-Bacon, EM
