YOUR FIRST 48 HOURS:

Hour 0-12:
• Local stack running (Docker or Sail)
• Two critical audit items found and patched (for example, hard?coded secret, XSS or SQLi)

Hour 12-24:
• PHPUnit and Vitest/Jest bootstrapped
• Core journeys (signup- login - use app features) covered and green in CI

Hour 24-48:
• Pipelines blocking on tests, lint and SAST
• Pull request replacing unsafe Blade tags in the ten highest traffic views
• One page roadmap prioritising the next ten fixes

After Day 2 your velocity only climbs: Stripe webhook handler, controller refactors, JavaScript dependency audits and auth policy gaps are burned down at a rate of 10 or more items each week while test coverage passes eighty percent of critical paths.

TOOLING EDGE:

AI on tap: company provided Gemini Pro and Cursor (expected, not optional)

CI/CD: GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes

Quality stack: PHPUnit, Pest, PyTest, Cypress or Playwright, Vitest or Jest, k6, ZAP, SonarQube

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Fix or review audit findings every day: code, test, merge

Jump between Laravel, Python, Vue and React projects as priorities shift

Use AI to draft tests, refactor safely and surface blind spots, then verify by hand

Guard the pipeline: fail fast, unblock intelligently, document root cause

Communicate where it matters: Text or Google Chat for mission critical messages and ---------- for everything else

Think like a user, stress like an attacker and polish like an owner
