Senior Full Stack Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer with a deep understanding of Shopify to join our growing e-commerce development team. You'll lead the development of complex Shopify applications, custom integrations, and scalable e-commerce solutions that drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Shopify Development

Design and develop custom Shopify themes, apps, and integrations using Liquid, JavaScript, and modern web technologies
Build and maintain Shopify Plus solutions for enterprise-level clients
Implement complex product customization features, checkout extensions, and payment gateway integrations

Develop headless commerce solutions using Shopify's Storefront API and GraphQL

Full Stack Engineering

Architect and build scalable web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue.js, or Angular)
Develop robust backend services and APIs using Node.js, Python, or similar technologies
Design and implement database solutions (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis) with optimal performance
Create responsive, accessible user interfaces with attention to UX/UI best practices
Implement automated testing strategies including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing

Technical Leadership

Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews to maintain high code quality standards
Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Lead technical architecture decisions and establish development best practices
Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide innovative solutions
Stay current with Shopify platform updates, new features, and e-commerce industry trends

Required Qualifications

5+ years of full stack development experience with at least 3 years focused on Shopify development
Expert-level proficiency in Shopify Liquid templating, theme development, and app architecture
Strong experience with Shopify Plus features including Flow, Launchpad, and Scripts
Proficiency in modern JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles
Experience with React, Node.js, and RESTful/GraphQL API development
Solid understanding of database design and optimization techniques
Familiarity with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and agile development methodologies
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure) and deployment strategies

Preferred Qualifications

Shopify Partner certification or equivalent demonstrated expertise
Experience with headless commerce architectures and JAMstack development
Knowledge of other e-commerce platforms (Magento, WooCommerce, BigCommerce)
Background in performance optimization, SEO, and conversion rate optimization
Experience with third-party integrations (ERPs, CRMs, inventory management systems)
Understanding of PCI compliance, security best practices, and data privacy regulations
Previous experience in an agency environment or working with multiple clients
