We are seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to support our growing infrastructure and identity ecosystem. This is a part-time contract role with the potential to transition into a full-time position based on performance and company growth.

Role Summary

You’ll play a critical technical role in building and maintaining secure cloud infrastructure, managing identity systems (Auth0), and automating deployment pipelines that power the Sky BlackBox platform. This role requires someone hands-on with infrastructure as code, familiar with both development and operations workflows, and confident integrating backend applications into secure, scalable environments. You’ll work directly with the development team to ensure smooth, secure deployment and integration, with a strong emphasis on documentation and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage secure AWS infrastructure (including EC2, S3, IAM, Lambda, WAF, etc.)
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using CloudFormation, AWS CDK, or Terraform
• Integrate and manage Auth0 (or equivalent IAM platform) for SSO, user provisioning, and access control
• Collaborate with backend developers to support API integration, infrastructure-aware development, and secure application deployment
• Automate infrastructure tasks and routine operations (e.g., backups, monitoring) using scripting tools (e.g., Python, Bash)
• Configure and manage secure S3 buckets with encryption, access policies, and lifecycle rules
• Set up and maintain WAF protections and secure network configurations
• Ensure robust documentation of infrastructure, auth flows, CI/CD processes, and integration guides
• Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues collaboratively

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, or related cloud engineering roles
• Deep expertise in AWS services and best practices for SaaS environments
• Proficiency with GitHub and experience building secure CI/CD workflows
• Hands-on experience with Auth0 or similar IAM/SSO tools (e.g., Okta, AWS Cognito)
• Solid scripting or coding skills (e.g., Python, Bash, or Node.js)
• Proven ability to deliver secure, reliable, and documented infrastructure as code
• Familiarity with SaaS architecture and common application-infrastructure integration patterns
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with development teams
• Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail

• Experience using Docker for containerising apps or services
• Understanding of Zero Trust Architecture principles
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Datadog)
