R:BASE Technologies is a US-based software company with over 44 years in business. We develop R:BASE, a relational database management system with a loyal, established user base. We are a small, direct team — no layers, no middlemen.

Our previous developer worked with us directly for 13 years. We are looking for someone who wants that same kind of long-term relationship.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are migrating R:BASE from Delphi 10.2 (Tokyo) to Delphi 13.1 (Florence) and need a Senior Delphi VCL Developer to own that migration for the long term.

This is a full-time, direct engagement — 40 hours per week, work from home. You will be fully onboarded by our outgoing senior developer, who has already prepared 35+ component migration assessments and detailed documentation before his handover.

This is NOT a short-term project or an agency placement. We want a developer who will grow with us.

WHAT YOU NEED

- Minimum 8 years of professional Delphi VCL development
- At least one completed Delphi version migration (any version range)
- Hands-on experience with third-party VCL component suites (DevExpress, TMS, JVCL, Raize/SpTBX, or similar)
- Comfortable working inside a large, mature codebase with documented custom components
- Strong written and spoken English — you will communicate with the US team daily
- Reliable internet and a dedicated home office setup
- Available for overlap hours with US Eastern Time

- Delphi 13.1 (Florence) or recent Embarcadero RAD Studio experience
- Experience with database-centric desktop applications
- Prior direct work with US-based software companies
- Familiarity with R:BASE or similar relational database platforms
