About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper / Assistant Accountant to support a group of Australian businesses.
This is a long-term remote position for an accounting professional who has strong experience with Xero and a solid understanding of Australian bookkeeping and tax requirements.
The role will initially be approximately 2 days per week, with the potential to increase as the businesses continue to grow.
We are looking for someone who is highly organised, detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

#Essential Requirements
* Minimum 5 years bookkeeping or accounting experience
* Advanced Xero experience
* Previous experience working with Australian businesses
* Strong understanding of Australian GST requirements
* Experience supporting BAS preparation
* Strong bank reconciliation experience
* Excellent attention to detail
* Strong written and verbal English communication skills
* Ability to work independently and manage priorities

Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
