The Opportunity

Join our ambitious and dynamic team as a Senior Developer and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of school transportation technology. This position offers a unique opportunity to significantly impact a system that supports tens of thousands of users daily, ensuring the safety of children, and providing peace of mind to parents. You'll tackle challenging projects, lead key initiatives, and have the autonomy to drive innovation within our technology stack.

Your Mission

Spearhead complex development tasks and conduct thorough code reviews.
Mentor other developers, enforcing coding standards and best practices.
Collaborate closely with our Lead Technical Architect and cross-functional teams.
Lead and manage our AWS cloud infrastructure, including EC2, RDS, Lambda, and MongoDB Atlas.
Design, implement, and maintain our CI/CD pipeline for seamless deployments.

The Tech Stack You'll Be Working With

Backend:
Python (Django ORM)
AWS Lambda
Microservices Infrastructure
Expertise/Working knowledge in Docker or any Containerization environment.
Working knowledge in unix-based operating system CLI (Command Line Interface)
Working knowledge in version control (GIT)
Frontend: React JS, React Native
Databases: PostgreSQL, MongoDB
Real-time Communication: WebSockets
API: REST
AWS Services: Elasticache, SQS, ECS, Lambda, RDS, EC2, S3, ECR

What We're Looking For

Exceptional skills in backend development, particularly with Python and Django
Strong experience in managing and optimising AWS infrastructure
Proven track record in building scalable, high-performance systems
Proficiency in database management, especially MongoDB and PostgreSQL
Familiarity with frontend technologies (React JS, React Native)
Expertise in CI/CD processes and tools
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex issues
Good communication skills in English
Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide junior developers
Passion for creating innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment
