Senior Accountant/Controller

We are hiring a Senior Accountant with controller-level experience to join the finance team of a US-based company in the hospitality sector. This is a long-term, full-time remote role.

The company is currently transitioning from QuickBooks Online to NetSuite, and you will be part of that implementation. You will work alongside other accounting staff and report into senior finance leadership.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Support the month-end and year-end close process
- Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger
- Perform bank reconciliations
- Process accounts payable
- Maintain AR and deferred revenue subledgers
- Reconcile intercompany transactions
- Assist with cash flow preparation
- Assist with the annual external audit
- Contribute to the NetSuite implementation
- Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis as requested by management

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- CPA (Philippine CPA license)
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy
- Minimum 7 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a senior role (controller, assistant controller, accounting manager, or strong senior accountant)
- At least 2 years of direct experience working for or with a US-based company
- Working knowledge of US GAAP
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online
- Familiarity with at least one ERP system (NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Sage 300, or similar)
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas)
- Experience with month-end close and account reconciliations
- Strong English communication skills
- Willingness to overlap with US Eastern Time business hours
- Reliable internet, personal computer, headset, and webcam

HIGHLY PREFERRED

- Previous experience working remotely for a US company
- Big 4 or mid-tier audit firm background is an advantage
- NetSuite experience or ERP experience
- Multi-entity accounting experience
- Familiarity with US GAAP
- Industry exposure to hospitality, cruise, real estate, or service businesses with deferred revenue
