About The Role

We manage a growing portfolio of business clients, and we need a sharp, detail-oriented contractor to be the early-warning system for that portfolio. Working hand-in-hand with our incoming in-house account manager, you'll keep a continuous pulse on every client we serve: auditing their SEO performance, reading the signals, and flagging who's thriving, who's slipping, and who needs attention before it becomes a problem.

This is a skills-first hire. We care far more about what you can actually do than how many years your résumé lists. If you understand SEO, you're comfortable learning new tools quickly, and you can turn raw audit data into a clear recommendation, we want to talk to you.

What You'll Do

Run and interpret audits
- Perform regular SEO audits across our client portfolio using SE Ranking and Local Falcon (and any future tools we adopt).
- Track rankings, local visibility, technical health, and performance trends over time.
- Spot anomalies, regressions, and opportunities in the data.
- Analyze our client’s competitors to identify patterns and trends indicative of success that we can implement in-house for our clients

Turn data into action
- Translate audit findings into clear, prioritized, actionable game plans, not just a dump of numbers.
- Summarize what's working, what's at risk, and what the next move should be for each client.
- Effectively communicate data and ideas to progress our clients

Monitor health and churn risk
- Keep tabs on progress and overall sentiment for every client we work with.
- Weigh churn risk across the full portfolio and surface a clear, ranked view of who we should prioritize and why.
- Maintain an up-to-date picture so nothing falls through the cracks as the portfolio grows.

Collaborate closely
- Work directly and proactively with our in-house account manager: sharing findings, comparing notes on client sentiment, and aligning on priorities.
- Communicate clearly and consistently so the team always knows where each account stands.

What We're Looking For
- Solid working knowledge of SEO: you understand on-page, off-page, technical, and local SEO fundamentals, and you know what healthy vs. unhealthy performance looks like.
- Strong tech literacy and fast learning: you pick up new platforms quickly and don't need hand-holding to figure out a tool's features.
- Hands-on with auditing tools: experience with SE Ranking and Local Falcon is a strong plus; if you haven't used them but have used comparable tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush, BrightLocal, Screaming Frog, etc.), show us you can ramp fast.
- Analytical thinking: you can look at a set of results and explain what it means and what to do about it, not just report the figures.
- Clear, proactive communication: you flag issues early, write clear summaries, and keep collaborators in the loop without being chased.
- Organized and self-directed: you can track many clients at once and stay on top of recurring work without needing constant instruction
- Fluent in English: This is important for internal team communication and you may be needed to write emails to clients

Nice To Have
- Familiarity with Google Business Profile / local SEO and Google Search Console / Google Analytics.
- Experience in an agency or working across multiple clients at once.
- Comfort building reports to communicate trends.

Tools You'll Use
- SE Ranking — rank tracking and SEO auditing
- Local Falcon — local rank and visibility tracking
- Additional tools as our stack evolves (we expect you to learn them)
