Romance Script Writers Wanted!!

We are a romance audio production brand. We create romantic audios for women to enjoy, with men speaking the lines. Our audios are listened to by tens of thousands of women around the world who use them to help their sex lives, relationships and mental health more generally. So we have an important mission and objective to deliver the best content we possibly can for them. That’s where you come in…

We are looking for strong writers to produce scripts for us and grow with us over time and create amazing series and worlds for our audience to enjoy.

We care mostly about your hunger to learn and writing talent above any qualifications, formal experience or degrees. I.e. do you understand what a good hook is? Do you understand building tension in a script and ‘push/pull’ dynamics? Do you know what good dialogue and conversation feels like in a script and can you produce it? Do you know how to build emotional stakes within your scripts? What obstacles do the characters have to overcome? How can you make the listener feel like an active participant? Do you ‘show’ rather than ‘tell’ Etc.

Additionally, our productions are audio only so some understanding of acting and sound design is also useful but not strictly necessary.

Ideally you should also be obsessive about reading and storytelling in general. Do you read romance books voraciously? Do you want to talk about them endlessly? You must have a true love for writing and romance stories in general and if you are just taking this role for the money you will unlikely perform well, so please keep this in mind when applying.

IMPORTANT: If you want to be considered for this job, you must submit an example of a script (at least one), in the format I have attached in the Google Drive link. Failure to do this will result in your application not being considered. We need to see a full script so we can see your ability for writing in its fullest. You can submit multiple scripts if you wish too. The more consistently excellent we can see your writings are the better the chance of your application.

There will also be a follow up interview if your script submission(s) is considered very strong, which will include a mini case study you will have to complete on the call and further follow-up questions to determine your suitability.
