ABOUT THE POSITION

Lariel Systems is seeking detail-oriented individuals to assist in the creation of high-quality datasets used to train artificial intelligence and computer vision systems.

This is NOT a programming position.

The primary responsibility is reviewing images, identifying objects or defects, and creating accurate annotations using our private web-based annotation platform.

Successful candidates will play an important role in training AI systems used for infrastructure inspection, roadway analysis, vehicle identification, and other computer vision applications.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review assigned image datasets
• Identify visible objects, defects, or areas of interest
• Assign the correct classification category
• Draw accurate polygons around objects using our annotation platform
• Approve or reject images based on quality standards
• Follow established annotation guidelines
• Maintain consistency and accuracy across assigned projects

PROJECT TYPES

Annotators may work on a variety of AI dataset generation projects, including:

• Roadway Damage Detection
• Vehicle Detection and Classification
• Traffic Monitoring Systems
• Infrastructure Inspection
• Object Detection and Classification
• Engineering and GIS-Related Imagery

Project assignments may vary based on current development needs.

REQUIREMENTS

Required:

• Reliable internet connection
• Basic computer skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to follow instructions carefully
• Consistent work habits
• Ability to work independently
• Comfortable learning new software tools

Preferred:

• Data entry experience
• Image annotation experience
• LabelMe or similar annotation tool experience
• GIS, engineering, mapping, or surveying experience
• Quality assurance experience

COMMUNICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Must be available for occasional evening Zoo ---------- etings due to time zone differences
• Must be comfortable participating in training and project discussions via Zoom
• Reliable communication is required
• Must have a working webcam and microphone available for onboarding and training

TRAINING

Training materials and example datasets will be provided.

Workers will receive:

• Classification guides
• Example datasets
• Correct and incorrect annotation examples
• Step-by-step instructions
• Ongoing feedback during onboarding

No programming or AI experience is required.

WORK PLATFORM

All work will be performed through a private web-based annotation platform hosted by Lariel Systems.

Workers will:

• Log in remotely
• Review assigned image batches
• Annotate images online
• Submit completed work for quality review

QUALITY STANDARDS

Dataset quality is critical to the success of our AI systems.

Submitted work will be reviewed for:

• Classification accuracy
• Polygon accuracy
• Consistency
• Attention to detail

High-performing annotators may be offered long-term opportunities as the project expands.
