We are a growing Australian accounting and taxation practice seeking a highly organised and intelligent remote assistant to support our firm with compliance, administration and special projects.
This role will initially focus on helping our firm implement new Anti-Money Laundering (AML/CTF) compliance requirements being introduced across the Australian accounting profession. Training will be provided and prior AML experience is not required.
We are looking for someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, trustworthy and able to learn quickly.
Key Responsibilities
• Review training materials and webinar recordings
• Prepare summaries and implementation checklists
• Research regulatory and compliance information
• Organise and maintain client records
• Upload and manage trust deeds, company documents and other client information
• Maintain compliance files and documentation
• Assist with client onboarding processes
• General administration and practice support
• Data entry and document management
• Assist with software setup and maintenance
Skills and Experience
Essential
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong organisational skills
• Ability to research and learn independently
• High level of integrity and confidentiality
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and online software systems
Highly Desirable
• Experience working with an accounting, bookkeeping or professional services firm
• Experience with Australian accounting software
• Familiarity with trusts, companies or SMSFs
• Experience with compliance or document management systems
Trial Task
Shortlisted applicants will be provided with a paid trial task involving reviewing a training video and preparing:
• A concise summary
• Action items
• Questions requiring management decisions
• Recommended next steps
Hours
Initially approximately 5-10 hours per week, with the potential for ongoing long-term work for the right candidate.
