Real Estate Video Editor (Final Cut Pro) – Remote / Freelance / Part-Time

Ascendant Creative Co. is a growing real estate media company in the USA. We create clean, modern, high-end listing videos and short-form content that helps real estate agents market homes at a higher level.

We are looking for a dependable Final Cut Pro video editor to support our team on an as-needed basis. This is primarily an overflow / secondary editor role, meaning project volume may vary depending on workload and seasonality. As the company grows, there is potential for more consistent work over time.

This role is a great fit for someone who has strong instincts for pacing, music, clean audio, and premium-looking real estate edits, and who can consistently deliver polished work on deadline.

What You’ll Be Editing

Most projects will include:
Property Reels (vertical social media listing reels)
Agent Property Reels (vertical agent on-camera reels with b-roll)
Horizontal Property Videos (for YouTube, websites, and listings)
Agent Branding Reels

Turnaround Expectations

We work on fast timelines, so reliability is very important.
Typical turnaround times:
Property Video Projects: 1 to 2 days
Agent Reels: 2 to 3 days
Most projects will also require at least one round of revisions before final delivery.

Responsibilities

Edit 4K footage in Final Cut Pro
Sync video and audio, including multicam footage when needed
Build selects, assemble edits, and tighten pacing
Apply basic color correction and consistent finishing
Use provided LUTs and style direction when needed
Clean up and level audio so everything sounds polished and professional
Add music that fits the tone and pacing of the project
Create clean, professional captions, especially for agent on-camera reels
Export in the correct formats for vertical and horizontal delivery
Keep projects organized for easy revisions using clean folders, timelines, and naming
Receive feedback well and turn revision requests around quickly
Communicate early if anything is behind schedule

You’re a Great Fit If You

Are highly skilled in Final Cut Pro
Have a Mac capable of handling 4K workflows
Have strong pacing and music instincts
Can make edits feel intentional, polished, and premium
Consistently hit deadlines
Communicate clearly and professionally
Pay close attention to details like stabilization, crop consistency, transitions, text timing, and audio quality
Can follow a defined brand style and stay consistent across projects
Have fast and reliable internet

Bonus Points

Experience editing real estate or architecture content
Confidence editing agent on-camera videos
Strong understanding of dialogue pacing and caption timing
Familiarity with LUT workflows and mixed footage from mirrorless cameras and drones
Hours / Workload

This role may start with light or inconsistent workload, with potential for more consistent work over time

Compensation

Compensation is per project and typically ranges from $40 USD to $125 USD, depending on the type and complexity of the video
