About Us
We're a small, focused AI trading team that has successfully built and deployed a proprietary futures trading bot. Our bot is live, profitable, and executing trades daily. We're now looking for a skilled Python developer to join us as the dedicated technical owner of this system.
The Opportunity
This is a long-term, part-time remote position (10 hours/week) with significant growth potential. You'll be the technical guardian of our trading bot, ensuring it runs flawlessly and continues to evolve. This role offers the unique opportunity to work at the intersection of software development and quantitative trading, where your code directly impacts real financial outcomes.
What You'll Do
Keep Our Bot Running Smoothly
•
Monitor daily operations and ensure 99%+ uptime
•
Quickly identify and resolve any technical issues
•
Maintain security, update dependencies, and manage infrastructure
Optimize Performance
•
Implement new trading strategies based on our team's research
•
Optimize code for speed and efficiency
•
Conduct backtesting to validate strategy improvements
•
Propose technical enhancements that improve profitability
Collaborate with Our Trading Team
•
Translate trading ideas into clean, robust Python code
•
Provide weekly performance reports and insights
•
Participate in strategy discussions and offer technical guidance
•
Maintain clear documentation of the system
What We're Looking For
Required Skills:
•
Expert-level Python with strong experience in Pandas, NumPy, and data analysis
•
API Integration Experience - You've worked extensively with RESTful and WebSocket APIs, ideally from cryptocurrency or futures exchanges
•
Trading Knowledge - You understand futures markets, order types, leverage, and risk management concepts
•
Infrastructure Skills - Comfortable with Linux, cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), and database management
•
Git Proficiency - Clean commits, clear documentation, version control best practices
Ideal Candidate:
•
Has built or maintained trading bots, algorithmic trading systems, or financial applications
•
Understands the importance of uptime and reliability in live trading environments
•
Can work independently and proactively identify issues before they become problems
•
Excellent written English communication skills
•
Experience working remotely with US-based teams
Work Details
Time Commitment: 10 hours per week (flexible scheduling)
Communication:

Daily brief updates via Slack/
•
Weekly 30-minute video call
•
Must be responsive to urgent issues (we'll define clear protocols)
Work Style:

Primarily asynchronous work with some scheduled overlap
•
You'll have autonomy to structure your time
