ABOUT US

We operate a portfolio of established, data-driven e-commerce brands generating millions of dollars annually, primarily on Amazon. This is a mature operation with real systems, real accountability, and real decision-making authority — not a startup and not a VA-style role.

We are hiring a Purchasing Manager to replace a U.S.-based manager and take full ownership of inventory purchasing and replenishment across multiple brands and wholesale accounts with thousands of SKUs.

THE ROLE

This role owns the end-to-end purchasing function.

You will be responsible for d ---------- what to reorder, when to reorder, and how much to reorder, using sales data, forecasts, seasonality, and lead times. Your decisions directly impact cash flow, in-stock rate, and profitability.

In addition to owning purchasing decisions, this role will lead and supervise a small remote team consisting of two junior purchasing/account managers and one administrative assistant. You will be responsible for task delegation, quality control, and ensuring your team consistently meets inventory and purchasing KPIs.

This is a senior role for someone who is comfortable making judgment-based decisions and being accountable for outcomes.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

- Own purchase order planning and execution across all assigned SKUs
- Analyze sales velocity, demand trends, and seasonality
- Maintain optimal inventory levels while minimizing stockouts and overstock
- Create, place, and track purchase orders from vendors
- Coordinate with vendors, logistics, and internal operations teams
- Lead, coach, and oversee a small Philippines-based purchasing support team; ensure accuracy, timeliness, and accountability across all purchasing workflows

Monitor and improve key KPIs:

- In-stock percentage
- Stockout days
- Inventory turns
- Excess and aging inventory
- Maintain accurate purchasing documentation and reporting
- Proactively identify risks, shortages, or purchasing inefficiencies

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

Please apply only if you meet the criteria below:

- 3+ years experience in purchasing, inventory management, or supply chain for e-commerce
- Direct experience managing Amazon FBA inventory
- Prior experience leading or supervising junior staff in an operations, inventory, or purchasing context
- Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills (lookups, formulas, data analysis)
- Experience with inventory or forecasting tools (e.g., Inventory Planner, Skubana, Forecastly, Netstock, etc.)
- Proven ability to manage thousands of SKUs simultaneously
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
- Strong written English and professional communication skills

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

Within the first 90 days, you are expected to:
- Fully own assigned purchase cycles without close supervision
- Demonstrate clear understanding of SKU-level demand and seasonality
- Reduce stockouts and emergency purchase orders
- Deliver clean, reliable purchasing plans leadership can trust
- Communicate risks early, clearly, and proactively

COMPENSATION & GROWTH
