JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Inspection Quality Control & Quality Assurance Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and ensuring the accuracy and quality of property inspection reports. You will work closely with our operations team to maintain industry-leading standards with our evaluation processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Control Review & Assurance:

- Examine and validate property insurance inspection reports prepared by outside contractors for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to industry standards.
- Develop and implement quality assurance protocols and checklists tailored to property insurance inspection reports.
- Work with with outside contractors to clarify report requirements, negotiate revisions, and ensure report consistency.
- Conduct regular reviews of contractor work and provide actionable feedback.

Regulatory & Industry Compliance:

- Stay updated on current insurance loss control and prevention standards, NFPA, OSHA, and other relevant safety regulations.
- Ensure all reports comply with internal and external guidelines, best industry practices, and applicable legal requirements.

Process Improvement:

- Recommend and implement enhancements to both the inspection process and the quality review procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine and optimize overall documentation and loss control strategies.

Documentation & Record Keeping:

- Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of review findings, corrective actions, and quality improvements.
- Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training materials for quality assurance.

Educational and Career Background:

Prior experience with quality control of insurance loss control property inspections is *highly preferred*.
Prior experience with the commercial insurance industry (rating, underwriting, applications) is preferred.
Familiarity with insurance property inspections is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a closely related field is preferred.
Construction background is also preferred.

Industry Experience:

Expertise in interpreting and reviewing technical inspection reports (especially property inspections) is preferred.

Technical Competencies:

- Understanding of loss control methodologies, building and fire safety principles, and regulatory requirements (e.g., NFPA, OSHA) is preferred
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite and web-based applications.

Analytical & Communication Skills:

- Exceptional attention to detail with a strong ability to analyze complex technical data and identify discrepancies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the capacity to convey technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to provide constructive feedback and effectively manage contractor relationships.

Problem Solving & Process Improvement:

- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing quality control processes and identifying process improvements.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment.
