About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Programmes & Events Manager to lead
the planning, coordination, and execution of high-level conferences, stakeholder
engagements, institutional programmes, and corporate events across African and
international markets.
The ideal candidate will possess strong project management, event operations, stakeholder
management, logistics coordination, and communication skills, with the ability to manage
multiple projects in a fast-paced remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead end-to-end event planning and programme management for conferences, forums,
summits, workshops, and executive events
• Develop event strategies, project timelines, budgets, work plans, and operational
schedules
• Coordinate speakers, sponsors, VIP guests, vendors, partners, and institutional
stakeholders
• Manage event logistics including venue coordination, travel arrangements,
accommodation, catering, audiovisual production, registrations, and virtual platforms
• Oversee virtual, hybrid, and physical event execution across multiple locations and time
zones
• Track project deliverables, event KPIs, budgets, and reporting requirements
• Support sponsorship management, partnership engagement, and stakeholder
communication
• Prepare event reports, presentations, briefing notes, and programme documentation
• Coordinate marketing materials, participant communication, and event branding
activities
• Ensure smooth operational delivery and high-quality participant experience across all
programmes
Required Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years of experience in programme management, event management, project
coordination, or corporate events
• Proven experience managing conferences, stakeholder engagements, executive events,
or institutional programmes
• Strong project management, organizational, and multitasking skills
• Experience with stakeholder management, vendor management, and client engagement
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and coordinate cross-functional
teams remotely
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, Zoom, and virtual
collaboration tools
• Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Business Administration, Communications,
Project Management, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience within renewable energy, sustainability, infrastructure, ESG, or development
sectors
• Experience working across African and international markets
• Knowledge of conference production, sponsorship coordination, and institutional
engagement
• Certification in Project Management or Event Management is an advantage
• Additional language skills such as French or Portuguese are an added advantage
Technical Requirements
• Reliable high-speed internet connection
• Personal computer or laptop suitable for remote work
• Access to Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Workspace, Slack, or related collaboration
platforms
• Ability to coordinate effectively across multiple time zones

time and within approved budget while achieving 90%+ participant and stakeholder
satisfaction ratings
• Stakeholder & Partner Management – Build and maintain strong relationships with
sponsors, speakers, vendors, institutional stakeholders, and partners through proactive
and professional engagement
• Project Management & Operational Efficiency – Successfully manage multiple projects,
timelines, logistics, and reporting requirements with minimal operational issues
• Communication & Documentation Quality – Maintain 100?curacy and
professionalism in reports, event materials, presentations, and communication
documentation
• Innovation & Continuous Improvement – Introduce process improvements and creative
ideas that strengthen programme quality, participant experience, and operational
efficiency
• Team Collaboration & Culture Fit – Demonstrate accountability, proactive
communication, strong remote collaboration, and the ability to work effectively across
cross-functional and international teams
