Production Assistant (Video / Graphics Editing & Web Development)

---------- is seeking a Production Assistant with junior level-web development skills combined with either video or graphics experience. Working knowledge of PHP, JavaScript, and CSS3 is required. Knowledge of CMS or Server administration is preferred.

We prefer candidates who can work full-time but we will consider those who can only work part-time (at least 20 hours per week) in this potentially long term position, depending upon performance.

Duties may include editing videos, graphics editing, editing database. Web development duties my included developing or modifying CMS extensions and building or modifying web apps, editing website pages, and assisting our Webmaster and Lead Web Developer with various ---------- ndidates must have good verbal and written communication, critical thinking, and problem solving skills. They also must be able to show up to Google Hangouts meetings on time and be self motivated to work sufficient part-time or full-time hours without reminders or pep talks. Applicants must be able to follow written instructions without being reminded to reread the provided instructions again or to double check their work. Please do not apply if you have difficulty with these sort of things. Really, don’t even contemplate it (you know who you are) since it wastes everyone’s ---------- ndidates should also be detail oriented, be able to follow verbal directions, and take and organize meeting notes, while being able to prioritize and manage multiple ---------- addition, they should also have a reliable internet connection and have the ability to communicate verbally via Skype or Google Hangouts.

We plan on introducing 4K videos to our site and API in the near future. This means you must have a computer capable of editing 4K video and a fast enough internet connections to upload and download 4K video files and site backups. Your computer will need sufficient processing power (eg: quad core Intel i5 processor or AMD’s R5-3500U CPU) and at least 8GB of RAM. With this minimum amount of RAM, you need to configure your computer so there are very few background processes running. If your computer does not already have an SSD you will at least need a high speed port such as USB-C or USB 3.1 to accommodate an external SSD so we may be able to lend you if you do not already have one in your machine. Consider all options in finding a suitable setup for 4K editing, Some models of laptops have a second bay to accommodate an internal SSD and RAM can always be added. If your considering replacing your computer, a used or refurbished models can be purchased for a fraction of the original retail ---------- order for us to get a sense if you can communicate effectively, follow written instructions, and pick up on details, you will be asked to answer a series of questions before we consider scheduling an interview.
