JOB OVERVIEW

We’re hiring an Audio Editor to support a growing podcast marketing and production agency.

This role is for someone who takes pride in clean, consistent, professional audio and understands that editing is not just technical, it directly impacts the listener experience. You will be responsible for turning raw recordings into polished, ready-to-publish episodes that meet a high standard every time.

What you’ll be responsible for:
• Edit raw podcast audio into clean, engaging, professional episodes
• Remove filler words, long pauses, mistakes, and distractions while maintaining a natural flow
• Apply EQ, compression, noise reduction, and leveling to ensure clarity and consistency
• Balance dialogue, music, and ads so everything sits properly in the mix
• Follow specific editing guidelines and client preferences across different shows
• Export final files to correct specs for podcast platforms
• Stay organized with file management, naming, and delivery timelines
• Communicate clearly if issues come up with recordings, quality, or deadlines
• Maintain consistency across episodes so each show is cohesive

What success looks like:

Success in this role means episodes sound clean, natural, and consistent across the board. There are minimal revisions, timelines are met reliably, and clients never have to think about the audio because it just sounds right.

We’re looking for someone who has both technical skill and good judgment. That means knowing what to fix, what to leave alone, and how to keep conversations sounding human, not over-edited.

If you disappear, go quiet, miss deadlines, or need constant follow-up, DO NOT apply.

To apply, send a message with the subject line:

Audio Editor, Podcast Agency

In your application, include:

• A short introduction about your background
• Your experience with podcast or audio editing
• The tools you use (DAW, plugins, workflow), and if you're familiar with Descript
• Links to 2 to 3 podcast episodes you’ve edited
• Confirmation that you communicate consistently and do not disappear, go silent, or take uncommunicated time off
• Include the keyword clean signal below your sign off so I know you pay attention to detail
• Your resume

This role is for someone reliable, detail-oriented, and serious about their work. If that is you, we want to hear from you.
