PERFORMANCE VIDEO EDITOR – DIRECT RESPONSE ADS (Full-Time, Remote)

ABOUT US

We are LederKur — a fast-growing, six-figure German premium brand in the leather and wood care space. We sell direct-to-consumer through our own Shopify store and are scaling hard with Meta Ads as our main growth channel.

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Performance Video Editor who can take our scripts and turn them into scroll-stopping ad creatives that convert cold traffic into customers.

This is not a corporate video role. This is performance marketing. Every video you create has one job: make people stop scrolling, watch, and buy.


WHAT YOU WILL DO EVERY DAY

- Receive ready-made ad scripts from the founder
- Source all clips yourself (stock footage, UGC-style footage, AI-generated clips)
- Edit and deliver 20 to 25 finished ad creatives per week (mix of full edits from scratch and variations such as hook swaps, new intros, format changes, and CTA tests)
- Create different ad formats: UGC-style ads, talking head ads, VSLs (Video Sales Letters), native-style video ads
- Add captions, text overlays, transitions, and sound design
- Follow direct response best practices: strong hook in the first 2 seconds, pattern interrupts, fast pacing, clear CTAs
- Deliver final files optimized for Meta Ads (9:16, 1:1, 4:5)
- Iterate quickly when we give you feedback on what is working and what is not
- Build and maintain an organized clip library so you can move fast
- Test different hooks, openings, and visual styles based on performance data


WHAT YOU MUST HAVE

- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Performance Video Editor for DTC or e-commerce brands
- Expert-level video editing skills — use whatever software works best for you (CapCut, After Effects, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or anything else). We do not care which tools you use. We care about the output.
- A strong portfolio that shows real direct response ad creatives (not brand films, not corporate videos, not wedding edits — we need ads that were built to sell)
- IMPORTANT: All videos are in German. All captions, text overlays, and on-screen copy must be in German. You will receive all scripts and text in German — your job is to place them correctly and make sure there are zero spelling or formatting errors.
- Deep understanding of what makes an ad convert: hooks, pacing, retention, visual storytelling
- Ability to source clips on your own without being told exactly where to find them
- Consistent speed: 20 to 25 creatives per week (full edits and variations combined) is the standard, not the exception
- Reliable high-speed internet and your own editing setup (computer, software, storage)
- Good written communication in English
- Ownership mentality: you take full responsibility for your output quality and deadlines


NICE TO HAVE (Not Required)

- Understanding or speaking German — this is a big plus since all content is in German, but not a requirement. You will receive all text ready to use.
- Experience with AI video tools (Veo, Kling, Runway)
- Motion graphics and animation skills
- Experience editing ads for the German or European market
- Thumbnail and static image creation skills
- Basic understanding of Meta Ads performance metrics (CTR, hook rate, hold rate)


COMPENSATION

- $5 per hour USD (full-time, 40 hours per week)
- Full-time remote position
- Performance bonuses for creatives that hit strong results

- Salary increases based on performance reviews


WORK SETUP

- Fully remote — work from anywhere
- Full-time (40 hours per week)
- You must have overlap with European business hours (CET) for daily communication and feedback
- This is a fast-paced, high-output environment. We test constantly, iterate quickly, and move with urgency.
- You will communicate directly with the founder. No layers. No politics. Just clear direction and fast execution.

- Your editing software of choice — whatever makes you fastest and delivers the best output
- Google Drive (file sharing and delivery)
- Meta Ads Manager (for performance feedback and context)
- Shopify (our store — for product and brand context)
