Part-Time Remote CFO (Philippines-Based) for Australian Business – InstroEX

InstroEX is hiring a part-time Remote CFO based in the Philippines to help lead the financial side of our growing Australian business.

We are looking for someone who can go beyond bookkeeping and provide real financial oversight, reporting, forecasting, and strategic guidance. This role will start with an initial setup phase, then move into ongoing monthly deliverables.

You must be confident with Australian tax, compliance, and business finance.

InstroEX is a Western Australia-based Instrumentation, Electrical, and EEHA company servicing industrial clients. We are building strong internal systems and want a finance professional who can help us improve visibility, control, and decision-making.

What you’ll do
• Set up and improve CFO-level reporting systems
• Build and manage cash flow forecasts
• Prepare monthly management reports
• Create budgets and track performance against them
• Monitor margins, overheads, and profitability
• Identify financial leaks, risks, and improvement opportunities
• Provide financial insights to support business decisions
• Help improve financial controls and reporting processes
• Support payroll, super, BAS, GST, PAYG, and compliance oversight
• Deliver clear monthly finance updates and recommendations

What we need
• Proven experience as a CFO, Finance Manager, or Virtual CFO
• Strong understanding of Australian tax and compliance
• Experience with GST, BAS, PAYG, superannuation, payroll, and reporting
• Strong forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management skills
• Able to explain financial data in a simple, practical way
• High attention to detail
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines
• Strong English communication
• Experience supporting SMEs is preferred
• Experience in trades, industrial services, contracting, or field service businesses is a bonus
