We are a growing Australian bookkeeping and business support company that provides bookkeeping, management reporting, and financial education services to small businesses across Australia.
We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper / Virtual Assistant to support the business owner with bookkeeping, administration, and process documentation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role and is looking to grow with a supportive and expanding business.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced bookkeeper who is also keen to assist with office administration and process improvement initiatives.
This role combines bookkeeping responsibilities with general administrative support to help streamline operations and support the continued growth of the business.
Position Details
Part-time position
20 hours per week
Working hours: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM North Adelaide time
Equivalent to 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM Manila time
Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping Duties:
Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
Process payroll
Assist with BAS and IAS preparation
Assist with balance sheet reconciliations, including:
Wages payable
Superannuation payable
GST accounts
Update supplier contacts within Xero files
Process and code bank feed transactions accurately in Xero
Manage Hubdoc transactions and publish documents to Xero
Identify and flag transactions requiring clarification
Administration Support:
Manage diary, calendar,
Maintain and organise electronic filing systems within Microsoft 365
Manage and monitor task lists within project management systems
Assist with documenting procedures and creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Provide general administrative support as required
Additional Responsibilities:
Support business growth initiatives
Assist with process improvements and operational efficiency projects
Undertake other duties relevant to the role as required
Preferred Experience
Previous experience working for an Australian bookkeeping or accounting firm
Experience supporting small business clients
Strong understanding of Australian bookkeeping practices

Qualifications:
Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or equivalent
Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping experience with Australian Bookkeeping companies

Microsoft 365
Xero
Xero Practice Manager
MYOB
Hubdoc (preferred)
Trello, Asana, or similar project management software
