About Us

We are a luxury perfume brand based in the UK looking for an experienced Shopify Website Designer to help improve and evolve our online store.

We are seeking someone with a strong understanding of Shopify, e-commerce user experience, and conversion-focused design. The ideal candidate will be able to identify opportunities for improvement, create visually appealing customer journeys, and implement design enhancements that support both brand experience and sales growth.

Key Responsibilities

Shopify Store Design & Optimisation
Design and improve Shopify pages, collections, product pages, and landing pages
Enhance the customer journey across the website
Improve navigation, site structure, and product discovery
Create layouts that reflect a premium and luxury customer experience
Ensure all pages are fully responsive across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices

User Experience & Conversion Optimisation

Review customer behaviour and identify opportunities to improve conversions
Optimise product pages, collection pages, cart, and checkout experiences
Improve calls-to-action, page layouts, and customer flow
Recommend and implement website improvements based on data and best practices
Conduct website audits and provide actionable recommendations

Shopify Theme Customisation

Customise Shopify themes and sections
Implement design changes using Shopify's theme editor and custom code where required
Work with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Shopify Liquid to make website improvements
Troubleshoot and resolve website design and functionality issues
Ensure website performance and speed are maintained

Marketing & Campaign Support

Create and update landing pages for campaigns and promotions
Design website banners and promotional sections
Support product launches with website updates
Work alongside the marketing team to improve overall website performance

Skills & Experience

Essential

Proven experience working with Shopify websites
Strong understanding of e-commerce UX and conversion rate optimisation
Experience customising Shopify themes
Knowledge of Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript
Experience with Figma or similar design tools
Strong attention to detail
Ability to balance aesthetics with commercial performance

Desirable

Experience working with luxury, beauty, fragrance, fashion, or lifestyle brands
Understanding of SEO best practices
Experience with Shopify apps and integrations
Experience conducting UX and CRO audits
