About the Position
We are a family in Oregon, USA looking for a reliable, patient, and engaging online tutor to help our children build strong study habits and improve academically.
This role is not only about teaching academic subjects. We are looking for someone who can encourage accountability, help students stay focused, assist with homework, and communicate progress to parents.
Our children range in age from 9 to 16 years old. Some students may need additional encouragement, structure, and help staying focused during study sessions.
Former teachers strongly preferred.

Responsibilities
Assist with math, reading, and homework
Help children stay focused during study sessions
Encourage good study habits and personal responsibility
Work with children who may be distracted, unmotivated, or struggling academically
Assist students with understanding school assignments
Build positive relationships with students while maintaining structure and accountability
Provide a brief daily progress report to parents after each session
Schedule
Monday-Friday
Approximately 2-3 hours per day
Long-term position preferred
Requirements
Strong spoken and written English
Experience teaching or tutoring children
Patient, encouraging, and dependable personality
Stable internet connection and webcam
Comfortable teaching students of different ages and abilities
Able to provide consistent attendance and communication
Preferred Qualifications
Licensed Professional Teacher (LPT)
Education degree
Classroom teaching experience
Experience working with ADHD students
Experience working with struggling or underperforming students
Experience teaching elementary, middle school, or high school students
Compensation
Up to $5/hr depending on experience.
