Part-Time Insurance Accountant | QuickBooks, Premium Reconciliation & NowCerts

We are a US-based insurance brokerage looking for a part-time Insurance Accountant / Bookkeeper based in the Philippines.

This role is for someone who is very strong in QuickBooks and understands accounting for an insurance agency, especially premium reconciliation, receivables, payables, expenses, and agency management systems such as NowCerts or similar platforms.

The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, reliable, organized, and experienced in handling accounting tasks for a US insurance agency or brokerage.

Responsibilities

The Insurance Accountant will handle:

Premium reconciliation

Reconciling client payments, carrier statements, and agency records

Accounts receivable through QuickBooks

Accounts payable through QuickBooks

Tracking business expenses

Recording payments and deposits

Matching payments to invoices and policies

Reviewing outstanding balances

Coordinating with internal tea ---------- mbers regarding missing payments or discrepancies

Updating financial records accurately

Using QuickBooks for bookkeeping, reporting, and reconciliation

Using NowCerts or a similar insurance agency management system

Assisting with accounting reports as needed

Requirements

Strong experience with QuickBooks is required

Experience with premium reconciliation is required

Experience handling accounts receivable and accounts payable

Experience managing expenses in QuickBooks

Experience with a US insurance agency or brokerage is strongly preferred

Knowledge of NowCerts is preferred

Experience with similar insurance agency management systems is acceptable

Strong attention to detail

Strong written English communication skills

Able to work independently and meet deadlines

Organized, accurate, and comfortable working with financial data

Preferred Experience

Insurance agency bookkeeping

Reconciling premiums between carrier statements, client payments, and agency records

Working with producer commissions or agency commission statements

QuickBooks Online experience

NowCerts experience

Experience supporting a US-based insurance brokerage

Position Details

Position: Part-Time Insurance Accountant / Bookkeeper

Pay: $7.50 to $8.00 per hour, depending on experience
Software: QuickBooks, NowCerts or similar insurance agency management system
