PHP Programmer for Wordpress based work.

I'm looking for a talented take charge PHP programmer used to working in a LAMP environment.

I have a membership site based on an automated version of Wordpress.

My site is I*nstant****N***icheMaker.com (remove the '*') I need a team member to help with the technical aspects of it.

It's your typical LAMP environment.

I'm looking for a well rounded programmer that can fix existing PHP code, write new PHP code, has the ability to do JS, CSS, JQuery, and whatever else needs to be done.

If you have graphics skills, flash, etc.. that's a bonus but not required.

Having the ability to handle multiple tasks and get the job done fast is important.

It's never boring working with me. :-)

You should enjoy learning new tasks and being responsible.

I would like to have you do things like handling support tickets.

The first test task I will have you do is modify a script that restores a Wordpress site to a different server. This script http://pluginbuddy.com/purchase/backupbuddy/ allows you to do that manually. I want you to automate the restore method so that we have a PHP script that can do the job automatically.

If your PHP skills are NOT super strong, then DO NOT apply for this job. I have had a bunch of people who think that being able to install Wordpress makes them a great PHP programmer.

Your PHP skills (and other programming skills) will be challenged by this job.

I have been programming for over 30 years, so I can quickly tell who can program and who can't. So let's not waste your time or my time.

The ideal person will be able to handle maintenance on this site, improvements, support tickets, future features, etc...

It's fast paced, fast moving, and ever changing.

I do NOT want a beginner programmer.

You should have at least 3 years of solid PHP programming on the job.
Note! Taking a PHP class in college does not mean you are a PHP programmer!
