JOB OVERVIEW

Meta Ads Account Manager

Full-Time | Remote | SAMA Labs

SAMA Labs is looking for a full-time Meta Ads Account Manager to manage and optimize paid social campaigns for ecommerce and DTC brands.

This role is for someone who understands that great Meta buying is not just about launching campaigns or watching ROAS. We are looking for a performance-minded operator who can connect Meta ads to the full ecommerce growth system: creative, offer, landing page, customer economics, retention, and profitable scale.

The right person can look at an account and understand what is actually happening, what needs to change, and how to communicate that clearly to the team and client.

About the Role

As a Meta Ads Account Manager, you will be responsible for building, managing, optimizing, and reporting on Meta ad accounts across ecommerce brands.

You will work closely with our strategy, creative, retention, Google, and client success teams to ensure campaigns are not just running, but actively improving the brand’s acquisition engine.

This person should be confident inside Ads Manager, but more importantly, they should know how to diagnose performance, identify creative needs, protect budgets, and scale winners responsibly.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and optimize Meta ad campaigns for ecommerce and DTC clients across prospecting, retargeting, and scaling initiatives.

Build campaign structures designed for clean testing, creative learnings, and profitable growth.

Monitor account performance regularly and identify what is working, what is declining, and what needs to change.

Analyze key metrics including CAC, ROAS, CPA, CPM, CTR, CPC, CVR, AOV, MER, and blended performance.

Understand client economics, including margin, AOV, LTV, allowable CAC, and payback window.

Translate campaign performance into clear strategic recommendations.

Work with the creative team to identify winning angles, hooks, formats, offers, and iterations.

Help guide creative testing based on performance data, not guesswork.

Identify whether performance issues are coming from creative, offer, landing page, funnel friction, or media execution.

Make informed budget recommendations based on stability, opportunity, and business goals.

Support client reporting with clear, concise insights and next steps.

Communicate proactively with internal teams on account needs, performance shifts, and growth opportunities.

Stay current on Meta platform changes, ecommerce trends, attribution shifts, and best practices.

What We’re Looking For

Strong hands-on experience managing Meta ads for ecommerce or DTC brands.

Ability to manage multiple ad accounts with attention to detail and urgency.

Strong understanding of ecommerce KPIs beyond platform ROAS.

Experience with creative testing, offer testing, campaign scaling, and budget management.

Ability to diagnose funnel performance from ad click to purchase.

Comfortable working with creative teams and giving clear creative direction based on data.

Strong communication skills and ability to explain performance in plain English.

Calm, analytical decision-making during account volatility.

Ability to distinguish short-term performance swings fro ---------- aningful trends.

Organized, accountable, and proactive with daily account management.

Comfortable in a fast-paced agency environment.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate does not just ask, “What is the ROAS?”

They ask:

“What is our allowable CAC?”
“Is this account acquiring new customers profitably?”
“Is creative fatigue setting in?”
“Is the offer strong enough?”
“Is the landing page converting the traffic we are paying for?”
“What creative should we produce next based on what the data is telling us?”

We are looking for someone who thinks like a growth operator, not just a media buyer.

Required Experience

2+ years of hands-on Meta Ads management experience.

Experience managing ecommerce or DTC ad accounts.

Strong understanding of Meta Ads Manager, campaign structure, pixel events, attribution, audiences, and creative testing.

Experience managing budgets, scaling campaigns, and troubleshooting performance declines.

Ability to read and interpret ecommerce performance data.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Bonus Experience

Experience with Shopify brands.

Experience with Triple Whale, Wicked Reports, Northbeam, GA4, Klaviyo, or similar platforms.

Experience working inside an agency.

Understanding of email/SMS, CRO, landing pages, and retention marketing.

Experience writing creative briefs or performance-based creative feedback.

What Success Looks Like

You are able to keep accounts organized, active, and moving forward.

You identify performance problems before the client does.

You communicate clearly with the internal team about what needs to happen next.

You help turn ad performance into better creative direction.

You understand when to scale and when to protect the budget.

You help clients acquire customers more efficiently and profitably.

Schedule
