Media DevOps Engineer

TVT SEA, part of the L10N Media Group, works with the world’s best known entertainment companies – including Discovery, the BBC and several major streaming providers – to help them bring their content to viewers around the world from our offices in the UK, Singapore, Australia, Japan and the USA.

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to manage our AWS deployments and infrastructure in the APAC region. This includes setting up and managing build processes, configuring virtual machines and containers, and working with the development teams to keep each system up to date and secure. Basically we’re looking for someone technically strong that can architect our Cloud infrastructure but also having a flexible approach to help out where required. This role provides a great opportunity to get in at an early scale-up stage within a profitable, entrepreneurial and technologically forward-looking company.

The role will initially be based in the Philippines as a consultant but the company would like the role to relocate to Singapore after an initial 6-12 month period onto an employment contract (Covid-19 and visas permitting). TVT is looking for someone who is passionate about DevOps and expanding their experience, as well as relocating to work in our Headquarters to form part of the Technology team located there.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or 3+ years working experience in the IT Industry.
Extensive experience managing AWS, including the intricacies of the configuration and some of the less commonly used services. This must include in depth knowledge of configuring and maintaining EC2 instances, RDS databases, S3 buckets, Elastic transcoder pipelines, IAM policies, Route 53 DNS management and SES alerts, along with knowledge of Lambda, Containerization, Load balancers and Billing and expense tracking.
AWS Solutions Architecture Certificate (associate or professional)
Basic networking knowledge and or CCNA Routing and Switching Certification
In-depth familiarity with Linux server administration.
Kubernetes Knowledge and 1-2 years working experience with microservices and container platforms.
Experience setting up and managing Jenkins or a comparable CI system.
Experience setting up container-based virtualization using Docker or a comparable system.
Familiarity with PHP and Composer as a build tool.
Able to work independently and take the initiative to propose and implement ---------- fortable using written and spoken English at a professional level.
Experience in the media industry or with video processing is a plus but not essential.
