Long-Form + Shorts Video Editor for Cooking Channel

We are looking for a reliable and creative Video Editor to help edit cooking and recipe videos for NinaBacani’s Recipes, a Filipino recipe content creator.

The main work will involve editing recipe videos for YouTube, Facebook, Instagram Reels, and TikTok. We need someone who understands how to make food videos look clean, appetizing, easy to follow, and engaging from start to finish.

This is not just basic cutting. We want an editor who can help improve the viewing experience through good pacing, clean cuts, proper text overlays, food close-ups, simple graphics, music, sound effects, and retention-focused editing.

Main Responsibilities

You will help with:

Editing long-form cooking videos for YouTube
Creating short-form recipe clips for Reels, Shorts, TikTok, and Facebook
Adding clean text overlays for ingredients, steps, tips, and key moments
Choosing the best food shots and close-ups
Improving pacing so the video does not feel slow or boring
Adding simple music and sound effects when needed
Cleaning up audio when possible
Exporting videos in the correct format for each platform
Organizing files through Google Drive
Following Nina’s existing video style while also suggesting improvements

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who:

Has experience editing cooking, food, lifestyle, or YouTube videos
Understands storytelling and pacing, not just cutting clips together
Can make food look more appetizing through editing
Knows how to use Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, or similar tools
Can add clean, readable text overlays
Can follow instructions well
Can meet deadlines consistently
Has good attention to detail
Can communicate clearly in English or Filipino
Is willing to learn our brand style

Experience with YouTube retention editing is a big plus.

Good pacing, especially in the first 30 seconds
Clear text for ingredients and cooking steps
Simple but polished

Sample Tasks You May Work On

1 full YouTube recipe video per week
Multiple short clips from the long-form video
Recipe teaser videos for Facebook and Instagram
Simple edits for food tips, cooking hacks, or product promos

Final workload can be discussed depending on your availability and skill level.
