Local SEO Virtual Assistant

At Outside the Business Box Marketing, we are looking for a detail oriented Local SEO Virtual SEO Assistant to help with ongoing Local SEO and on-page optimization tasks for multiple client websites in the home service niche.

This role focuses on execution, accuracy, and following proven SEO processes. You will work closely with a senior SEO strategist and receive clear instructions, templates, and SOPs.

Responsibilities
- Assist with Local SEO tasks (keyword research, competitor research, Google Business Profile support)
- Optimize service and location pages (titles, meta descriptions, headings, internal links)
- Follow on-page SEO checklists and templates
- Help review competitor pages for structure and content gaps
- Perform basic SEO QA before pages are published
- Implement Changes in Wordpress
- Keep tasks organized and documented

Requirements
Intermediate to Senior Level understanding of Local SEO
Familiarity with on-page SEO best practices
Experience using SEO tools (Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, GBP, or similar)
Strong attention to detail
Good written English
Ability to follow instructions and SOPs carefully
Experience working with local service businesses
Basic knowledge of schema markup
Understanding of how SEO supports leads and conversions
Must be willing to work the daytime hours of Central Standard Time.
