About the Firm
We are a U.S.-based personal injury law firm handling personal injury, select criminal defense matters, and a small number of medical malpractice cases. We are building a lean, high-performing litigation operation focused on speed, accuracy, and strong systems.
This role supports the attorney so they can focus on strategy, negotiation, and court.

Role Overview

The Litigation Paralegal will support litigation and pre-litigation matters by drafting documents, managing deadlines, organizing discovery, and maintaining case workflows in Filevine.
This is a production-focused role with clear expectations and templates provided.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Personal Injury
Draft pleadings (complaints, discovery, motions) using firm templates
Draft demand packages fro ---------- dical records and case data
File pleadings and discovery with courts and opposing counsel
Track litigation deadlines and tasks in Filevine
Assist with settlement packets and closing documentation
Support lien resolution preparation (no negotiation)

Criminal Defense (Support Only)
Draft discovery requests
Draft motion shells (e.g., motions to suppress, bond, continuances)
File pleadings and notices
Organize and index discovery
Track criminal deadlines in coordination with EA

Medical Malpractice (Limited, High-Trust Work)
Organize and summarize medical records
Create timelines and chronologies
Assist with expert materials
Support pleadings and discovery (no strategy decisions)

WHAT YOU WILL NOT DO
- Negotiate settlements or pleas
- Appear in court
- Make legal or strategic decisions
This role supports attorney decision-making — it does not replace it.

REQUIREMENTS
Prior litigation paralegal experience (U.S. law firms preferred)
Strong written English
Detail-oriented and deadline-driven
Comfortable following SOPs and templates
Experience with Casper preferred (not required)
Reliable internet and ability to work independently
