Linux System Administrator

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and proactive System Administrator to join our Operations Team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for deploying and maintaining virtual servers, managing system updates, checking logs, monitoring system performance, creating backups, implementing automation, and purging databases.

Responsibilities:

* Join and collaborate with the operations team.
* Be available full-time and responsive, especially during log/transaction checks.
* Set up and deploy virtual servers.
* Deploy updates and patches as needed.
* Perform log and transaction monitoring.
* Monitor system health and performance.
* Create and manage system backups.
* Implement automation processes.
* Perform regular database purging.
* Ensure all assigned tasks are completed before deadlines.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or related field.
* 2+ years of experience as a System Administrator.
* Proficiency with Ubuntu OS.
* Hands-on experience with Docker.
* Solid knowledge of Zabbix for configuration and monitoring.
* Experience with shell scripting.
* Familiarity with Nginx.
* Familiarity with Jira.
* Bonus points for experience with: Elasticsearch, Amazon Web Services (AWS)
