The Tutoring Hub: Tutoring & Advocacy, LLC supports students and families through personalized tutoring, educational guidance, and advocacy services. We specialize in helping families navigate learning challenges, school support systems, IEP/504 processes, and academic growth.
We are looking for a reliable and professional Virtual Assistant to manage Instagram direct messages and help create a positive experience for families reaching out to our business.
Overview
This role is focused exclusively on Instagram Direct Message (DM) management. The ideal candidate is warm, organized, responsive, and comfortable communicating with parents and caregivers while representing our brand voice.
Responsibilities
* Respond to incoming Instagram DMs in a timely and professional manner
* Answer common questions about tutoring, educational support, and services using provided templates and guidelines
* Qualify potential leads and identify families who may be a good fit for services before scheduling a discovery call with the business owner
* Organize and track inquiries in a simple spreadsheet
* Flag complex educational or advocacy questions for the business owner
* Follow up with interested families and maintain message organization
* Maintain Extreme confidentiality and professionalism in all communication
Qualifications
* Fluent in written and spoken English
* Available at least 2–3 hours per day (consistent schedule preferred)
* Strong written communication and customer service skills
* Familiarity with educational terminology preferred (examples: IEP, 504 Plans, accommodations, intervention, tutoring, executive functioning, special education language)
* Comfortable using Instagram daily
* Detail-oriented and able to communicate with empathy and professionalism
* Previous virtual assistant, education, customer support, social media, or administrative experience preferred
Compensation
* Part-time contractor position
* Hourly pay based on experience
* Opportunity for growth with additional administrative and client support responsibilities over time
