Operations & Hospitality Manager
Company: Stay'ca Property Management
Location: Remote / Virtual
Type: Full-time
Reports to: Owner / Founder
Direct report: Guest Communications Specialist
About Stay'ca
Stay'ca is a growing short-term rental management company operating a portfolio of roughly 50 properties across Mississippi, Alabama, and the Florida Gulf Coast. We pair genuine, warm hospitality with sharp operations — and we're building the systems and team to scale that without losing the personal touch our guests and owners count on.
We're looking for a senior operator to step into a role that touches nearly every part of the business. This is not a task-taker position. It's for someone who sees a messy process and instinctively wants to fix it, document it, and make it run without them.
The Role
As Operations & Hospitality Manager, you'll own the day-to-day operation of the guest experience and the systems behind it. You'll lead our guest communications, protect and grow our review scores, keep our listings and pricing performing, and build the repeatable processes that let us scale cleanly. You'll manage our Guest Communications Specialist and report directly to the owner.
The right person wears a lot of hats comfortably, learns new tools quickly on their own, and turns "we keep running into this problem" into a documented solution.
What You'll Own
Guest Communications & Retention
Lead the guest messaging operation and supervise our Guest Communications Specialist
Resolve escalations, recover at-risk stays, and turn problems into 5-star reviews
Own guest satisfaction and review-score performance across the portfolio
Revenue Management
Manage dynamic pricing strategy to maximize occupancy and revenue
Monitor market trends, competitor rates, and seasonal demand
Listing Optimization
Audit and improve listings — titles, descriptions, photos, and amenities — to boost conversion and ranking
Keep listing content accurate and competitive across platforms
Marketing & Social Media
Drive marketing efforts to grow direct bookings and brand presence
Plan and manage social media content and engagement
Canva to make graphics
Operations & Systems
Coordinate cleaning, maintenance requests, and vendor scheduling
Build, document, and refine SOPs and workflows so the business runs more smoothly as we grow
Identify operational gaps and design the systems to close them
Team Leadership
Manage and support tea
Who You Are
+ Experienced. You have a solid background in short-term rental, property management, or hospitality operations and understand how the pieces fit together.
+ A self-directed learner. You can pick up a new tool or platform on your own without hand-holding. We don't expect you to know every system on day one — we expect you to figure them out.
+ A problem solver. When something breaks or a process is inefficient, you diagnose it and fix it rather than working around it.
+ A systems builder. You think in repeatable processes and lasting solutions, not one-off patches.
+ Organized and reliable. You can juggle many responsibilities, prioritize what matters, and follow through.
+ A strong communicator. You write clearly and professionally, and you bring genuine warmth to guest interactions.
+ Comfortable working remotely. You're disciplined and accountable without someone looking over your shoulder.
Tools You'll Use
You don't need mastery of all of these, but familiarity is a plus and a willingness to learn them fast is essential:
+ OwnerRez (property management / PMS)
+ PriceLabs (dynamic pricing / revenue management)
+ AirDNA (market data and analytics)
+ Microsoft Word & Excel
+ Claude AI (we use AI tools heavily — comfort with them is a real advantage)
+ Zillow, Crexi and other market and listing platforms
+ Canva
+ GoHighLevel
If you're the kind of person who enjoys learning new software, you'll fit right in.
Logistics
Schedule: Full-time
Location: Fully remote
Compensation: Competitive and based on experience — discussed during the interview process
