Graphic Designer – Garment & Apparel Graphics (Contract / Project-Based)

We are seeking a highly skilled Graphic Designer with strong experience in garment design and apparel graphics to support ongoing creative projects. This role is initially offered on a project-by-project basis, with the opportunity for full-time employment for the right candidate following successful completion of several projects.

This role is suited to a designer who understands apparel construction, print techniques, and how graphics translate onto garments, not just on-screen.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and develop garment-ready graphics for apparel, including front, back, and placement-based designs

- Apply distressing, texture, and worn effects suitable for screen print, embroidery, and other garment applications

- Interpret and execute creative briefs accurately, while contributing thoughtful design solutions

- Prepare print-ready artwork with correct sizing, colour separations, and production considerations

- Maintain consistency with brand direction, tone, and visual identity

- Deliver work to tight deadlines while maintaining a high standard of finish

Required Skills & Experience

- Minimum 3 years’ experience in graphic design, with a strong focus on apparel or garment design

- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator (all work must be completed in Illustrator)

- Proven experience applying distressing, texture, and vintage-style effects appropriate for garments

- Strong understanding of print processes (screen print, embroidery, DTG, etc.)

- Ability to follow briefs precisely and demonstrate strong attention to detail

- Clear communication skills and the ability to work independently

Testing Requirement

Shortlisted candidates must complete a test project (to be confirmed) to demonstrate:

- Technical skill level

- Ability to understand and interpret a brief

- Suitability for ongoing project work
