JOB OVERVIEW

I run a high-volume online reselling business specializing in trading cards (sports cards primarily — basketball, baseball, football, soccer). I'm hiring a full-time Operations Assistant to help me scale.

About the work:
You'll be the engine of the daily operation, sourcing products from multiple online marketplaces, tracking inventory through fulfillment, and keeping our master spreadsheet system organized. This is a real operations role for someone who can run a system, not just complete tasks.
Daily responsibilities (6-7 hours/day):

Update master Google Sheet from daily CSV exports
Identify sourcing gaps and find best-priced inventory across multiple marketplaces
Source inventory on dedicated buyer account (Best Offer, direct purchase)
Track shipment progress from sellers daily, flag slow shippers
Coordinate with US-based 3PL warehouse via Slack
Draft customer message responses (English-fluent, professional tone)
Daily end-of-day status report via Slack

Required:

Strong written English — must communicate professionally with sellers and customers
Sports knowledge — especially basketball NBA and football NFL. Should know top current players without Googling (Victor Wembanyama, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Aaron Judge, Shohei Ohtani, Tom Brady, etc.)
Trading card knowledge a major plus — understanding refractors, parallels, prizms, rookie cards, brand differences (Topps, Panini, Bowman, Fanatics)
Reliable internet connection (will video interview)
Google Sheets fluent
Available 8-10 hours/day with minimum 4 hours overlap with US Central Time afternoons (3 PM - 7 PM CT minimum)
Detail-obsessed about not missing orders
Can follow SOPs but think independently on unclear situations
Long-term mindset — not looking for someone for 60 days, looking for a 2+ year operational partner

Bonus skills:

Prior eBay buyer or seller experience (any account size)
Prior Mercari, Whatnot, or Fanatics Collect experience
Prior dropshipping or arbitrage experience
Spreadsheet automation skills (basic formulas, conditional formatting)

Pay:
$600/month full-time during 30-day trial period.

$750/month after 30 days based on performance.

$900/month after 60 days for exceptional performance.

Weekly Wise payments.

Performance bonuses for specific metrics achievements.
Schedule:
8-10 hours/day, 6 days/week, during United States daytime. I must be able to communicate with you during your shift.

Sundays off.

Flexible scheduling but must have minimum 4-hour overlap with US Central Time afternoons.
To apply:
Send a message answering these 4 questions:

Who is Victor Wembanyama and what team does he play for?
What's the difference between a base card and a refractor parallel? Explain in 2-3 sentences.
Describe a time you managed a daily operational task requiring tracking 50+ moving pieces. What system did you use?
How do you handle a situation where a supplier promises to ship something but doesn't follow through? What's your decision process?

Applications without answers to all four questions will be skipped.
I'll be reviewing applications over the next 4-5 days and inviting strongest candidates to a 30-minute video interview. Long-term operational partnership for the right person.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
