The main focus of this role is professional book formatting and editorial layout design, especially for non-fiction books, guides, workbooks, manuals, planners and educational content.

We are not looking for simple Word formatting or basic template work. We are looking for someone who understands clean editorial design, page structure, typography, spacing, margins, print-ready files and professional visual organization.

This role also requires the ability to create and adapt visual assets for books and publishing projects. The right person should be able to research suitable visual references, create custom visual elements, icons, diagrams, simple illustrations and AI-assisted images when needed, always following the style, target audience and quality requirements of each specific project.

Main responsibilities:

* Professional book interior formatting and layout design
* Editorial page design for non-fiction books, guides, manuals, workbooks and planners
* Creation of clean tables, boxes, callouts, checklists and structured visual elements
* Creation or adaptation of visual assets such as icons, diagrams, simple illustrations and image-based elements
* Use of AI tools, when appropriate, to support the creation of book visuals, references, illustrations or graphic elements
* Research of suitable images, references and visual styles based on the project target and requirements
* Preparation of print-ready PDF files
* Correct use of trim size, margins, bleed and safe areas
* Layout adjustments for paperback and digital formats
* Revisions based on detailed written feedback
* File organization and respect for deadlines
* Support with other book-related graphic tasks when needed, such as cover layout, Amazon A+ Content, book mockups and social media ad creatives

Required skills:

* Strong eye for editorial layout and clean page design
* Experience with book formatting, publishing design or print layout
* Good knowledge of Adobe InDesign or other professional layout software
* Understanding of typography, spacing, hierarchy and visual consistency
* Ability to create or adapt visual elements that fit the style and target audience of a project
* Ability to research visual references and images with attention to quality, consistency and usage rights
* Ability to use AI tools thoughtfully for visual creation, concept development or image support
* Ability to prepare print-ready PDF files
* Good written English
* Ability to follow detailed written instructions
* Reliable internet connection and own computer
* Long-term mindset and professional attitude

Preferred skills:

* Amazon KDP formatting experience
* Adobe Photoshop
* Adobe Illustrator
* Canva
* AI image generation tools
* Experience with book covers, Amazon A+ Content, mockups or advertising creatives
* Experience with non-fiction books, workbooks, planners, guides or educational materials
* Ability to create icons, diagrams, infographics, visual aids and simple custom illustrations
