Full Stack Engineer

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Full Stack Engineer to join our team and build a robust platform designed to simplify parking for truckers across the United States. This role will involve creating a feature-rich app enabling truckers to find, book, and navigate to parking spaces while allowing parking space owners to list and manage their lots. The app will include real-time availability tracking, secure payment processing, and optionally GPS integration for seamless navigation.
As a key team member, you’ll work on designing and implementing both the front-end and back-end systems that power the app. This is a ground-up opportunity to bring your expertise to a meaningful project with a massive impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Application Development:
Develop a web app with a clean and user-friendly interface for truckers and parking lot owners.
Implement real-time parking availability tracking and booking functionality.
Build a dashboard for parking space owners to manage their listings, schedules, and payouts.
Backend Systems:
Design and implement scalable server-side logic, databases, and APIs to handle bookings, user data, and parking space management.
Ensure secure payment processing, including fee deductions and fund transfers to parking space owners.
Integration:
Implement third-party APIs for mapping and navigation services.
Infrastructure:
Set up a reliable cloud-based infrastructure to support real-time updates and high traffic loads.
Implement a monitoring and error-handling system for uptime and performance.
Collaboration:
Work closely with product and design teams to create an intuitive user experience.
Collaborate with QA engineers to test and debug features.
Security and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with relevant transportation and financial regulations.
Implement robust authentication and data protection measures.
Required Skills and Experience:
Proven experience as a Full Stack Engineer or similar role in app development.
Proficiency in modern programming languages and frameworks (e.g., JavaScript, Python, React Native, Node.js, etc.).
Experience with backend technologies such as RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and database management (SQL and NoSQL).
Knowledge of GPS and mapping API integrations (e.g., Google Maps, Mapbox).
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure) for hosting and scaling.
Experience with payment gateway integration (e.g., Stripe, PayPal).
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in logistics or transportation-related projects.
Familiarity with fleet management software.
Knowledge of building multi-sided marketplaces.
