About Avery
Avery is the simplest way for individuals and small businesses to manage their finances directly in Google Sheets. We sync live bank transactions directly to Google Sheets, giving users the flexibility, customization, and security of spreadsheets without the hassle of manual data entry. We work with large influencers in the finance space building white label solutions and are looking for someone to join us to help scale our product for the long term.

The Role
We’re looking for a talented full-stack developer to help us build and scale Avery. You’ll be working on a Google Sheets extension with a backend that handles secure financial data sync, user onboarding, and spreadsheet automation. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in lean teams, enjoys problem-solving, and wants to have a big impact directly to a fast growing SaaS company.

Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain Avery’s Google Sheets extension and backend services
• Build features in Node.js and vanilla JavaScript, with integrations into Google Apps Script
• Design and optimize database queries and schemas in Postgres
• Collaborate on product improvements, onboarding flows, and integrations
• Ensure data security, reliability, and performance at scale
• Debug and resolve issues across the stack quickly
• Work directly with users to uncover product issues and ship solutions
• Work closely with the founders to ship high-impact features

Requirements
• Strong experience with Node.js and backend development
• Proficient in Vanilla JavaScript for frontend and Google Apps Script is a must
• Solid knowledge of Postgres
• Experience building browser extensions, Google Workspace add-ons, or spreadsheet automations is a big plus
• Fluent in English is a must
