JOB OVERVIEW

About the Project
We’re building an AI-powered receptionist and call center automation system capable of answering inbound calls, making outbound sales calls, and handling general call center agent tasks. This system will combine open-source telephony (Asterisk), AI speech technologies (Whisper, Google Speech-to-Text, Google TTS), and advanced conversational intelligence (ChatGPT 5.0 Agent Mode / Rasa / Dialogflow) with a Firebase backend for data, workflows, and dashboards.

Responsibilities
Architect, develop, and deploy an AI voice receptionist system integrating:

Asterisk PBX for call routing and SIP integration

ASR (Automatic Speech Recognition) via Whisper or Google Speech-to-Text

Conversational AI using ChatGPT Agent Mode, Rasa, or Dialogflow CX

Text-to-Speech (TTS) via Google Cloud TTS

Firebase for backend data, authentication, and dashboards

Build real-time audio streaming pipelines between Asterisk and ASR/TTS

Implement AI-driven call handling flows for sales, appointment booking, and FAQs

Integrate with optional CRM systems (HubSpot, Salesforce, or custom)

Create secure, user-friendly dashboards for call monitoring and analytics

Ensure low-latency, high-accuracy conversational interactions

Follow compliance requirements for call recording and data handling (GDPR/CCPA)

Required Skills & Experience
Strong experience with Asterisk or other PBX/SIP telephony platforms

Proficiency in Node.js or Python for backend development

Experience with Firebase (Firestore, Functions, Auth, Hosting)

Familiarity with Google Cloud Speech APIs or Whisper

Integration experience with LLMs (OpenAI API, Rasa, Dialogflow)

Experience with Google Cloud TTS or similar TTS engines

Knowledge of real-time audio streaming and low-latency processing

Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and WebSockets

Strong focus on security, scalability, and reliability

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
Familiarity with ChatGPT 5.0 Agent Mode and tool integration

Experience with CRM API integrations (HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho)

Knowledge of Docker and cloud deployment (GCP, AWS, DigitalOcean)

UI development with React or Vue.js for dashboards

Understanding of speech barge-in detection and voice activity detection

Ongoing: Maintenance, feature expansion, optimization
