Freight Agent/ Assistant

QMD Logistics is a Georgia based start-up organization seeking a results-oriented agent with industry experience.

Our ideal candidate is a self-starter who has an established book of business and can help the brokerage secure new accounts, negotiate carrier rates as well as maintain communication with dispatchers and drivers. We are also seeking someone who can assist in identifying best practices, establishing operating procedures, and coaching other tea ---------- ---------- eight Agent

Responsibilities:

*Manage current book of business OR build your own book of business
*Generate and keep track of leads and new prospects
*Do in-person visits to prospects (optional)
*Initiate cold calling with adequate follow ups
*Secure new accounts with reputable clients who have good credit
*Negotiate freight rates with clients
*Support freight management in negotiating carrier rates
*Collaborating with freight management to ensure on time pick-up and delivery
*Update customers on load status
*Maintain CRM

Qualifications:

*At least 1 year experience on freight brokering or 2 years of logistics experience
*Have a book of business (preferred)
*Must possess strong communication and relationship-building skills
*Have a solid understanding of the freight and logistics industry
*Excellent organizational and follow-through skills
*Must be a self-starter
*Ability to collaborate and/or work autonomously (depending on the circumstances)
*Be highly self-motivated and a self-starter
*Possess exceptional negotiating, interpersonal, presentation, and persuasion skills
*Be able to coach and mentor other tea ---------- mbers.
*Able to meet sales targets
