Job Summary
The Financial Controller manages the Accounting department and ensures accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and effective financial controls. The role supports strategic decision-making by providing reliable financial information and analysis.

Head, Accounting Department
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reports.
Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to management.
Accounting Operations
Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
Ensure proper accounting practices and adherence to accounting standards.
Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
Budgeting and Forecasting
Develop and monitor annual budgets.
Prepare financial forecasts and cash flow projections.
Analyze budget variances and recommend corrective actions.
Compliance and Internal Controls
Ensure compliance with tax laws, financial regulations, and company policies.
Establish and maintain effective internal control systems.
Coordinate internal and external audits.
Cash Flow and Treasury Management
Monitor cash flow and liquidity.
Manage banking relationships and financing activities.
Optimize working capital management.
Team Leadership
Supervise and mentor accounting staff.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide training.
Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification preferred.
5–10+ years of accounting/finance experience, including leadership roles.
Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial regulations.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial reporting software.
