## About the Role

The Financial Controller will play a critical leadership role in ensuring the financial health, operational efficiency, and long-term stability of the organization. This position requires someone who can independently manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining accuracy, accountability, professionalism, and strong communication across departments.

You will be responsible for financial reporting, accounting oversight, collections management, banking and reconciliations, vendor compliance, operational coordination, insurance administration, process implementation, client support, and continuous improvement initiatives.

## Key Responsibilities

### Financial Management & Reporting

• Manage general ledger activities and financial reporting
• Analyze profitability, cash flow, budgets, forecasts, and operational performance
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes
• Coordinate with external CPA firms and maintain audit-ready records
• Support ownership with financial planning and strategic decision-making
• Monitor liquidity and financial stability across multiple entities

### Accounts Payable & Vendor Management

• Manage the full accounts payable cycle
• Process and review high-volume vendor invoices
• Maintain vendor files, compliance records, and insurance documentation
• Monitor vendor aging reports and payment schedules
• Handle intercompany transactions and reconciliations

### Accounts Receivable & Collections

• Oversee accounts receivable operations and collections processes
• Monitor aging reports and delinquent accounts
• Coordinate collection efforts and payment arrangements
• Apply customer payments and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain strong collection performance and minimize bad debt exposure

### Banking & Cash Management

• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
• Manage cash positioning and liquidity monitoring
• Coordinate banking relationships and transaction research
• Investigate discrepancies and maintain organized reconciliation schedules

### Operational & Administrative Oversight

• Coordinate with operations, sales, and service teams
• Improve workflows and implement operational procedures
• Develop and maintain SOPs
• Train and support accounting and administrative staff
• Assist with onboarding and organizational initiatives

### Client Relations & Retention

• Support onboarding and implementation of new clients
• Communicate directly with clients regarding billing, collections, and account concerns
• Assist with dispute resolution and client retention efforts
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and pricing structures

### Compliance & Internal Controls

• Maintain compliance with accounting standards and company policies
• Support audits, legal documentation, and financial investigations
• Improve internal controls and operational transparency
• Assist with historical accounting cleanup and reconciliation projects

### Systems & Technology

• Manage accounting and financial software platforms
• Utilize QuickBooks, ServiceTrade, banking platforms, Excel, and operational systems
• Ensure financial data integrity and reporting accuracy
• Support process automation and system improvements

### Leadership & Growth

• Maintain accountability and operational continuity
• Train and support tea ---------- mbers during transition periods
• Identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements
• Support long-term company growth and financial stability

## Preferred Qualifications

? Proven experience as a Controller, Finance Manager, or Senior Accounting Professional
? Experience managing multiple entities or related companies
? Experience cleaning up historical accounting discrepancies and financial records
? Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
? Experience working directly with banks, attorneys, vendors, insurance carriers, consultants, and external accountants
? Strong leadership, communication, accountability, and client management skills
? Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
? **Experience with QuickBooks is REQUIRED**
