Experienced Wordpress Backend Developer

ABOUT THE POSITION
We need to add some strong Wordpress and PHP programming power to our team. This is mainly a backend programming role where you will be working together with designers and frontend developers. You will need to flexible and not afraid for new challenges and take on technologies or frameworks that you might not have used before. But you will also have backup from other experienced Upgrade to see actual info is not a simple Wordpress theming role you are expected to have indepth experience of the wordpress architecture and how to extend and tweak the functionality.

This is an open ended hourly position and we're hoping for long term relationship.

Responsibilities
You will be responsible for taking the designer's work and make it truly functional in Wordpress. You will also create custom plugins where needed or override the functionality of existing ones.

Required skills
* 5+ years of programming experience
* Experience in developing complex server-based applications and consuming web services
* Solid understanding of various HTTP methods, request/response workflow, sessions/cookies, persistence, caching, security and performance
* Excellent communication skills
* Wordpress, custom plugin development. Wordpress architecture

Good to have/bonus skills
* Strong understanding of object oriented software principles and design patterns
* Beaver Builder
* Git
* Jira
* Experience of scrum
* TDD
